🔬 What is the IITK RISE Internship?
The RISE Internship by IIT Kanpur (IITK) is specially designed for foreign (non-Indian) students.
Through this program, students get to work under the guidance of an IITK faculty mentor on exciting research problems in science or engineering.
Depending on your preference and eligibility, you can join:
- Winter Internship (Online) — Work remotely from your country
- Summer Internship (Offline) — Work directly at IIT Kanpur’s beautiful campus in India

📅 Program Duration
- Winter Internship (Online): December 1–31, 2025
- Summer Internship (Offline): 6–8 weeks between May 1 and July 31, 2026

- Winter Internship: Depends on the number of faculty positions available
- Summer Internship: Up to 12 students will be selected and supported by IIT Kanpur

To be eligible for IITK RISE, you must:
✅ Be a non-Indian national
✅ Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at your home university
✅ Have at least one semester remaining after the internship

✅ Be comfortable in English (spoken and written)
✅ Meet the specific project requirements listed during application
Additional eligibility for the Summer Internship:
- Undergraduate students: Must have completed at least 4 semesters
- Master’s students: Must have completed at least 2 semesters
